What We Know
This week, as the RedBar Global Meetup returns to New York City, Oris has teamed up with the global watch-collector community to release a new limited edition watch. It's the second collaboration between the two, following the 2018 Oris x RedBar Limited Edition that commemorated the first-ever global meetup. Seven years later, this new release is literally and figuratively like a homecoming, celebrating the return of the group's global meet-up to the Big Apple.
The Oris x RedBar Divers Limited Edition features a 39mm stainless steel case with a ceramic bezel insert carrying a minute scale. The red fumé dial—a clear nod to RedBar's signature color—is paired with luminous indices and hands coated in Super-LumiNova, while the caseback bears a special Oris x RedBar engraving. You can find the full specs below.
Inside, the automatic Oris 733 movement (which is based on a Sellita caliber), offers central hours, minutes, and seconds, a stop-seconds function, and a 41-hour power reserve. The watch comes on a black rubber strap with an additional stainless steel bracelet included in the set.
The Oris x RedBar Divers Limited Edition is limited to 250 numbered pieces, priced at $2,950 USD, and will be available exclusively on Oris's website starting October 17. It will also be previewed and available for purchase at the Windup Watch Fair in New York City this coming weekend.
What We Think
This release continues Oris's strong run of collaborations that feel genuine and aligned with the independent brand's values, be it a focus on sustainability or, in this case, a longstanding relationship with the watch community. RedBar has become a cornerstone of the collector scene, embodying the same sense of inclusiveness and approachability that Oris has long championed. A watch celebrating that shared DNA—in RedBar's home city, no less—just makes sense.
