Clocks come in many shapes and sizes. There are the grand old clocks found in European city-centers, the incredible gas-powered Atmos clocks, and of course the ubiquitous electronic clocks that glow from myriad devices throughout our homes. There's even a clock being built in a Texas mountain that's meant to keep time for 10,000 years. But what we have here today is something a little bit different.
Yep, this is a clock made from an old Kindle e-reader. You can hack your no-longer-in-use Kindle and install special software that replaces its usual operating system with this clock program. Then, each passing minute, your Kindle displays a new image that shows a quotation related to time – you get both the time itself and a bit of extra wisdom. There will be more options coming down the line for this time-telling curiosity, but for now it's pretty back-to-basics.
