IntroducingDoxa's Updated SUB 750T, Now In The Brand's Signature Colors

If you saw the July release of Doxa's SUB 750T "Clive Cussler" limited edition and were wondering to yourself, "Why can't I get that in one of the brand's signature colors?" Well, wonder no longer. The brand hasn't waited long to release its newly resized (but super water-resistant) SUB 750T as a non-limited edition model during Geneva Watch Days.

Available on either a rubber strap or a "beads-of-rice" style steel bracelet, with that new 45mm with 47mm lug-to-lug stainless steel case that—at 11.95mm thick—shaves 2mm off the original SUB 750T from 20 years ago and is thinner than the SUB 300 (13.4mm) and SUB 300T (14mm) while having 750m of water resistance. That's a pretty impressive set of specs, and while very few (if any) of us will ever take our watches that deep, it's also just an option for someone who wants a slightly larger and more imposing Doxa on the wrist.

While the Cussler release had an emblem on the dial (which only came in the brand's "Professional" orange), the new releases have the standard Doxa text, name of the model, and dial color, a non-color-matched date window, and very legible black hands. They also feature a unidirectional rotating bezel with scales to track decompression times (in addition to the minutes you'd generally want to track your dive). The screw-down crown features the Doxa fish emblem.

If you need a reminder, the color options are Professional (orange), Sharkhunter (black), Searambler (grey/silver), Caribbean (blue), Divingstar (yellow), Aquamarine (turquoise), Whitepearl (white), and Sea Emerald (green). That's a lot of color options, and while I go back and forth between favoring the Professional and Searambler, I like the color-matched bezel on the Aquamarine for a lighter and less serious color option.

Regardless of your pick, these aren't limited edition or production, so you can pick them up whenever you want for $2,490 on the stainless steel bracelet or $2,450 on the strap (which represents a bit of a savings over the last limited edition).

I'm a faithful fan of the Sub 300 (at least from afar—as I say about that watch, every time I write about Doxa, I'm reminded I still really want a Sub 300), but judging from the comments on the last Sub 750T LE launch, there are plenty of people who will be excited about this new release. With a larger, more legible dial but a thinner case thickness, it's the best of a lot of worlds, and dive watches are the rare instance where larger isn't always a detraction. Doxas are also a curious scenario because a lot of the width and size on the wrist comes from the interestingly flanged case. Between this, the Sub 300, and the Sub 200T, the brand has basically everyone's needs covered in one familiar lineup.
