Aurel Bacs – legend of the auction world, and master of the hammer – has launched a new video series on YouTube. For those who don't know, Bacs is the Senior Consultant for Phillips. He's overseen some of the biggest auction moments in recent years, including the famed Paul Newman Daytona. Now, you might be thinking that this video series is auction-centric – and you'd be wrong.

Instead, it's being billed "Bacs to Basics" and features Bacs himself in a free-wheeling, unfiltered discussion about vintage watches – his vintage watches. And these aren't pieces set to hit the block either – just part and parcel of his personal collection.
